Kromasil
High pore volume and surface area and very high mechanical stability - even today this
combination of properties is unmatched by other chromatography packings on the market.
Kromasil and Kromasil Chiral are premium, silica-based HPLC packings, developed by Separation Products at Eka Chemicals. Reduced levels of Na, K, Ca, Fe, Al, and Mg make Kromasil packing materials useful for polar compounds which tend to interact with the silica surface. The wide range of particle sizes is an essential consideration for scale-up. The pH stability for bonded phases is 1.5 - 9.5

Kromasil chiral stationary phases
are based on the well-known Kromasil premium spherical silica. The chiral
polymer is covalently bonded to the functionalized Kromasil silica. Two
phases have been developed to complement each other in selectivity:
Kromasil CHI-DMB: The chiral monomer is 0,0'-bis
(3,5-dimethylbenzoyl)-N,N'-diallyl-L-tartar diamide.
Kromasil CHI-TBB: The chiral monomer is 0,0'-bis
(4-tert-butylbenzoyl)-N,N'-diallyl-L-tartar diamide.
The new CelluCoat and AmyCoat chiral phases are based on a super-wide pore silica matrix developed in-house, and coated with a functionalized cellulose selector. High resolution, excellent selectivity, high pressure stability and stable performance when switching between compatible mobile phases are some important benefits. CelluCoat is equivalent to Chiralcel OD, AmyCoat is equivalent to Chiralpak AD of Daicel.
